One year in 40 seconds from Eirik Solheim on Vimeo.
Take advantage of everyday opportunities to teach about the world.
Here are some of the things you can do teach your child.
1. TALK about what's going on around you (weather, news, music).
2. POINT OUT and identify interesting objects (trees, wildlife, architecture).
3. FIGURE things out together (how much time has passed, how to cut the pie, how many points are needed to win).
Encourage your child to ask questions:
* How does this work?"
* Why did this happen?"
If your child really can't answer alone, tell him or her the answer (if you can). If you don't know, work together to find the answer.
